Summary- Kai's thoughts on life
'Why does life...only last for so long? Each person will one day fade away. Just like the flowers and trees and animals of the earth.
No person lives forever. But you can find ways to live longer. Just like I have. I should have died long ago...
I watch as the rain falls against my window, splattering across the glass.
From my years, though, I have realized there's one thing that never fades. The rain. Each little rain drop, one by one, hits the ground. But rain drops can't die, they just end up back in the sky to do it all over again.
I sometimes like to consider myself a rain drop. So many friends and family have died, but I still live. Why is that?
Why must Fate be so cruel to me? This is one of the many mysteries I have tried to find the answer to. And each time, I fail.
But then...maybe that's a good thing. What would I do if I found out the answer anyway? It wouldn't change anything.
Yet I still wonder...why me? Of all the people on this earth, I was chosen. Why? Because I'm the only one that can fufill my destiny. No body can do it for me.
So maybe...I'm just special. Yes. I must be.
There's nothing I can do about it though. So...I'll do the next best thing. Just live it.
I'll take life on. And until the day I do die, I will watch the rain drops fall.
